Company overview

Delta Dental of Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana, with its affiliates in Kentucky, New Mexico and Tennessee, make up one of the largest dental plan administrators in the nation. The enterprise in 2008 paid out more than $2.1 billion for dental care for more than 6.6 million enrollees.

The Delta Dental plans are members of the Delta Dental Plans Association, a nationwide system of independently operated dental health service plans. Together, the plans provide coverage to more than 54 million Americans and operate the nation’s largest network of participating dentists.

Our corporate office headquarters is located in Okemos, Michigan, with offices in Farmington Hillls, Michigan; Columbus and Cleveland, Ohio;and, Indianapolis and Greenwood, Indiana. Our affiliates have offices in Louisville, Kentucky, Albuquerque, New Mexico and Nashville, Knoxville, and Memphis, Tennessee.

Research and Data Institute
Established in 2005, the company’s Research and Data Institute analyzes data to drive innovation and improve service. It houses the largest dental claims database in the world – more than 10 terabytes of information, comparable to all the printed content in the U.S. Library of Congress. More
