Delta Dental is committed to protecting the privacy of individually identifiable personal health information.  In fact, we are fully compliant with strict federal HIPAA (Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act) laws governing security and privacy.

Enrollees may access our Notice of Privacy Practices, detailing how Delta Dental handles personal health information in accordance with HIPAA.

For Dentists: National Provider Identifier

Any heallthcare entitiy that transmits personal health information (PHI) electronically must have and use a unique ID number, the National Provider Identifier (NPI), in all e-commerce transactions.
