Delta Dental Promotes Ellen Jones to Senior Public Relations Officer
Okemos, Mich. (June 3, 2008) – Ellen E. Jones, of East Lansing, Mich., has been promoted to senior public relations officer at Delta Dental of Michigan, Ohio and Indiana.
Jones, who joined Delta Dental in 2000 and has worked as manager of public relations for the company, will oversee public relations, internal communications and community relations in the tri-state area.
She previously worked as deputy press secretary to former Governor James J. Blanchard, press secretary to former U.S. Congressman Bob Traxler, director of communications for the Michigan Departments of Agriculture and Management and Budget and as a news reporter and producer for two Michigan television stations.
Jones, a Flint, Mich. native, was the recipient of a Silver Anvil from the Public Relations Society of America and has an award-winning documentary in the Museum of Television and Radio in New York.
She is a graduate of the University of Michigan in Ann Arbor.
