Edward Zobeck Named Senior Vice President of Delta Dental

June 10, 2008 (Okemos, MI) —Edward Zobeck has joined Delta Dental of Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana as senior vice president of human resources. The announcement was made by Thomas J. Fleszar, D.D.S., M.S., president and chief executive officer of Delta Dental of Michigan, Ohio, and Indiana.

Prior to joining Delta Dental, Zobeck was vice president of human resources at The Auto Club Group (ACG), where he worked for more than 20 years. He gained extensive experience in employee relations, benefits and compensation, employee development, information systems and organizational development during his tenure at ACG.

“Ed’s wealth of knowledge in human resources and employee relations, combined with his intimate understanding of the dental benefits and insurance marketplace, make him an ideal choice for this position,” said Fleszar.

Zobeck is a past member of the Delta Dental Board of Directors, past chair of the Human Resources Committee of the National Association of Independent Insurers, past executive board member of the Greater Detroit Area Health Council and past president of the Michigan Society for Instructional Technology. He is also a member of the Society for Human Resource Management.

Zobeck, of Troy, has a Bachelor of Science in criminal justice from Wayne State University, an M.Ed. in instructional technology from Wayne State University, and has completed the human resources executive program at the University of Michigan.
