Cracking the code: D1110/D1120 and D434
Use Code D1110/D1120 when, as a preventive procedure, you’re removing plaque, calculus and stains from permanent or mixed baby and adult teeth.
Use Code D4346 when, post oral evaluation, there’s determined to be moderate or severe gingivitis throughout the mouth without periodontitis. This code is indicated for patients with swollen, inflamed gums, generalized suprabony pockets, and moderate to severe bleeding on probing
