Medicaid, Healthy Kids Dental and Michigan TriState Advantage

Medicaid beneficiaries—including those enrolled in HKD—may receive their dental benefits through a Medicaid Health Plan. Many health plans in Michigan choose to partner with Delta Dental as their dental benefit administrator. The Michigan TriState Advantage network serves Healthy Michigan Plan (HMP), adult Medicaid and Michigan Coordinated Health (MICH) members.

Medicaid dental member handbook

A grievance is a complaint you let Delta Dental know about. It may be about dissatisfaction with a dental provider, a Medicaid program or Delta Dental. If you would like to file a grievance, you can call customer service at 866-558-0280 or send your grievance in writing to:

You can ask to see, free of charge, all documents, records and other information used to make our decision before or during the appeal. At no cost to you, you can also ask for a copy of the guidelines we used to make our decision.

Medicare Advantage plans

Maintaining dental benefits can help you spend less time dealing with dental issues and more time enjoying retirement. Traditional Medicare plans don't include dental benefits, meaning you may pay more out of pocket for important dental procedures.

Traditional Medicare

Includes Part A (hospital insurance) and Part B (medical insurance). You may join a separate Part D (drug coverage).

Medicare Advantage

Known as Part C. Medicare Advantage plans are an all-in-one plan that includes Part A, Part B and, usually, Part D.

MI Coordinated Health (MICH)

MICH is a health care option for Michigan adults ages 21 and older who are enrolled in both Medicare and Medicaid in specific counties. With built-in care coordination for Medicare and Medicaid services, Delta Dental serves as the dental benefit administrator.

Healthy Kids Dental

HKD helps Michigan children younger than 21 with Medicaid have healthy, happy smiles—at no cost to you. Visit our HKD page for more information.
